In recent years, Heart Four Counties has also moved into music television and created an influential presence on digital platforms including social media.
Every day @heart4counties delivers breaking news, music and competitions to almost 14,000 followers on Twitter and 61,307 friends on Facebook.
As broadcast media partner, Heart Four Counties will share news on the Awards through social media and the immensely popular www.heart.co.uk/fourcounties
The Awards has 13 open categories, including “Website”, “Use of Social Media for Business” and “Mobile App” and free entry closed earlier this month.
A list of finalists will be announced on Thursday, October 1.
Andy Pritchard, from Premio64, the organisation behind MKDA said: “To have an immensely popular brand such as Heart on board is great news for the Awards and a great fit.
“As well as touting ‘More Music Variety’, Heart FM is also offering more choices to consumers in how they engage with their content.
“They are investing heavily in their digital transformation and I believe they are leading the way in the ‘newish’ world of regional digital broadcasting.
“We are thrilled to be working with the Heart FM team for the first MK Digital Awards, which is taking off in a very big way.”
“The future is very bright all around.”
MKDA offers Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for each category and winners will be chosen by an independent panel of judges including executives from Sky Sports, Universal Music and Maserati.
The MKDA Presentation Evening will take place on Thursday, December 3, at Cranfield University.
