Following the Milton Keynes Digital Awards on 13 October, we spoke to Richard Bateman, Director of Westfourstreet, who won Gold for ‘Website: B2B’.
Could you tell us a little about your organisation?
We are web design agency specialising in web and print design. Our business is six years old and we love what we do and the clients we get to work with!
What made you get involved in the MKDAs?
We feel passionately about Milton Keynes and having been too late to enter last year, we decided to enter this time around and it’s a good thing we did!
What does winning gold at the MKDAs mean to your organisation?
It’s been a very humbling experience to be honest. The talent of the design agencies based in Milton Keynes is very high, so to win gold meant a lot. To be able to collect the award and be surrounded by agencies, freelancers and bloggers we have long admired and respected was a bid deal!
Where will you be putting your award?
We are moving into new offices early 2017, so it will have pride of place on the wall. In direct view of anyone coming to visit.
What was your most memorable moment from the MKDA presentation evening?
Winning! But also catching up with other agencies we hadn’t sen for a while and celebrating the success of the digital talent in Milton Keynes in general.
What’s the best thing about the Milton Keynes business community?
It’s a hugely supportive community. Each business wants to support the next and create opportunities for business as well as collaborations on larger projects.
