Award-winning writer and comedian Tony Cowards is to perform at the MK Digital Awards Presentation Evening, organisers revealed this week.
Guffaws are guaranteed when pun expert Cowards – described as the “best joke-writer around” by GQ Magazine – takes to the stage at Mitchell Hall, Cranfield University, on December 3.
The 42-year-old, who hails from Ipswich, has performed several times at the Edinburgh Festival and written many shows for BBC radio.
He has also been dubbed “The Punosaurus”, by List Magazine in Edinburgh, owing to his ingeniously clever use of wordplay.
Iain Johnson, from Premio64, the organisers behind the awards said: “We are thrilled to have Tony appearing at the MK Digital Awards.
“The Digital Awards has a history for booking hilarious comedians to warm up our guests ahead of the all-important presentation and ‘The Punosaurus’ will be no exception.
“It’s going to be a very exciting night”.
Tickets are still available for the MK Digital Awards Presentation Evening, which includes an arrival drink, 2-course meal, 1/3 bottle of win per person and presentation of Gold, Silver and Bronze awards to businesses, schools and charities from across the county.
