The University of Surrey Business School has partnered with the Surrey Digital Awards for a brand new award to recognise digital innovation.
The University of Surrey Business School “Digital Innovation Award” – new for SDA16 – will reward one company that has used digital technology to improve the experience of their customers or increase the productivity of their staff.
Entries will be judged by a team of experts at the University of Surrey Business School and the new accolade will be presented at the Surrey Digital Awards 2016 Presentation Evening, which takes place on March 10, 2016.
Entry for the “Digital Innovation Award” is open for THREE WEEKS ONLY until February 1, 2016, and can be made via the link below.
Businesses wishing to enter will need to be able to describe their organisation’s business activities, explain how they have been digitally innovative in the past twelve months and how they have benefitted from this innovation.
The Surrey Digital Awards is the first and only scheme exclusively dedicated to recognising the online achievements of businesses, charities and schools across the county.
Surrey Business School – in Guildford – offers a range of high-quality, challenging programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as executive education across the business and management and accounting and finance spheres.
The School is also home to CoDE, the Surrey Centre for the Digital Economy.
Professor Roger Maull, Co-Director of CoDE at Surrey Business School said: “The University of Surrey’s Business School is the home of Centre for the Digital Economy (CODE).
“CODE’s aim is to research the social and economic impact of the digital revolution. We have five areas of focus: digital platforms; Internet of Things; crypto-currencies; the processes of agile innovation and developing algorithms for analysing large datasets and have received over £4m of funding from the UK research council and Europe for our research in these areas.
“CODE works closely with both established and emerging businesses that are trying to take advantage of the opportunities that digital provides.
